Shogun was a ‘test the water’ project for Creative Assembly as their first game for the mobile market. I was the second hire for the team as a lead with all round experience in game art. With the game director I recruited a small team of graduate and less experienced artists and helped them deveop over the duration of the project.
I created the overall structure of the art pipeline from prototype to final submission working with concept art to develop the look and feel of the game and marketing assets. In a hands-on role I developed most of the artwork for the vertical slice including environments, characters, rigging, motion capture and effects.
It was a small, fast-paced team that developed the whole title in just over a year.
